More PICTURES!

FINALLY getting caught up again! There's been a whole slew of squares coming in, and I finally sat down with my son to get these all labeled and photographed.

In the first picture, we have:
R1: Ft. Wayne, IN (2); Tavistock, Devon UK (2)
R2: Flomaton, AL; Miami, FL; I DON'T KNOW; Phildadelphia, PA
R3:Ronkonkoma, NY (2);Wills Point, TX (2)

These 6 squares are all from Windber, PA. This ingenious lady made another 2 squares out of thread (looks like size 3) and stitched them together on the last dc round, and made a keychain out of them! Isn't that adorable? And she sent this as a present just for me!

These 6 are from Elhart, IN

Red, White & Blue Afghan

This is my second afghan the DH volunteered me for. This is going to a Chinese Auction at Williamstown apartments - these are senior living. They have an auction every year and use the money to help the low-income seniors in their complex when they need money for groceries, and also to pay for them to go on trips when the rest of the group goes.

Arts in Education Afghan

I just received a thank-you from the Music teacher at my children's school. You'll remember that I donated that Terry Kimbrough ( Peachy ) for the school to raffle at open house. Well, there was a technical "glitch" (the school and its teachers can't hold raffles, it's considered gambling) so she had to regroup and find someone else to raffle it and donate the proceeds to her. (Had I known this, I would have raffled it at open house). Well, she raffled it at one of her concerts and made over $100!! I'm sure it would have been more if it had been raffled at open house, but that is better than nothing!

Lacy Stars Afghan done

This is the afghan for the church bazaar (still didn't find out which church!). I had JUST enough yarn to finish the project - now I have to wash and dry this to get that little bit of wobble out of the border. I think the next border I do I will make sure I drop down a hook size, because my borders ALWAYS do this! I was crocheting as tightly as I could to keep this one from going wonky, so it's not as bad as it could have been. Apparently, I can make some awesome ruffled borders!

The pattern can be found as a free download http://www.freepatterns.com/members/download.html?code=FC00065

Second Daisy afghan done!

Here is the SECOND afghan completed! Isn't it gorgeous? (And I don't care much for pastels)

I have the blue squares afghan that I have to finish the ends on, plus some odds and ends hats that I will be putting in the box. As soon as those are done, this will go out to Children's Hospital of Buffalo!

You should all be VERY proud of your efforts!

My Blue Lacy Stars afghan

Here is the "Lacey Stars" pattern. I am doing it in blue, even though the pattern calls for greens. It's what I had and I'm trying to use up stash! I have all 42 squares done through the light blue round. Now I've got 6 of the 42 done in the dark blue round, then on to joining... and border. I have it planned to finish in about one more week. (Of course, I've got other things going). I hope to get that border on the daisy ghan done, too. This one is being donated to a church bazaar. Don't know the name of the church - will have to get that.

Afghans from Pattern Requesters

I have received two photos from people who have received the pattern. These are NOT afghans that I assembled using the squares from "you". These are afghans made by people for their own use, but I thought you might like to see what can be done with them...

This first one was made for Project Linus TAPS (http://www.taps.org/) where children of fallen soldiers can go for camp.

This second was made by a lady in Fairbanks, AK for her daughter:

Just a little inspiration for us all!
